WHAT YOU NEED

Headphones or earphones for your smartphone. A phone with a charged battery. Shoes and clothing suitable for a mountain itinerary: always check the weather before setting out, and the avalanche bulletin; in case of snow make sure you have high boots and, if needed, poles and snowshoes.

HOW TO DO A SONIC WALKSCAPE

– Download the Sonic WalkScape app: scan the QR code on the first sign at Montgenèvre, or tap the buttons above.
– Open the app, go to settings (top-right), choose your language and enable geolocation.
– Back on the home page, start exploring: select from the map the Sonic WalkScape you want, tapping UNSEEN or PRESENTI MAI ASSENTI.
– Start the tour – choose language and subtitles (recordings available in Italian, French and English) and download the tour (also for offline use).
– Allow the use of your location data (GPS): tap always allow.
– Reach the starting point: for Unseen, reach the Chalmettes car park, then walk on to the Games in forest adventure park, watching for the crossing over the ski slopes. Follow the route to the reach the points on the map, up to the village of La Vachette.

At the end of the Sonic WalkScape the app shows the buses back to Montgenèvre (tickets on board, €2.20). You can leave feedback on the app, follow us on our social channels, or subscribe to our newsletter.
